Are you looking for a quiet and peaceful place to have your outdoor wedding and create a memorable day?
The Cambre House is the ideal place to hold your outdoor wedding. With two outdoor lawns, one in the front of the house and one in the back of the house, you can decide where to hold your wedding and your reception. The space can be used however you wish to make your wedding day memorable.
Have your wedding in the backyard that sits on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, and then take your guests out to the front lawn for a reception. Or have your wedding in the front of the house, and invite your guests to the backyard for the reception. The 20 x 40 foot concrete patio on the back lawn, which is complete with electrical outlets, is a perfect spot for catering or music. Our small barn has inside space for 30 people for an intimate gathering.
We provide a several metal washtubs that can be used for drinks. An arbor, and anything else we have on the property are included with your package.
We have several wedding packages so pick one that suits your needs for your special day. We believe in upfront pricing. What you see here is what you get. We don’t like being suprised with hidden fees, so you will never have a hidden fee with us.
Day Package – $200
Just need to use the farm for the day? This rental is from 9am to 5pm and gives you full use of the house, barn and grounds for your event. Perfect for a basic vow ceremony or a family get together.
You will need to either bring or rent chairs, tables, and tents. Kempker’s or Complete Rentals in Fort Madison both have a wide selection and will deliver and set up. The delivery and set up can be outside of the rental window, but must be set up in advance.
Elopement Package – $400
Have you thought about just eloping? How about getting away for a magical weekend and coming home with a beautiful wedding memory. The elopement package includes overnight accommodations at the house, full use of the house, barn, and grounds for the day.
Want to finish the perfect wedding with extras? We can add a small bouquet and boutonniere from Montebello Gardens, a gift basket with champagne from Baxter’s winery, or a small cake from Nauvoo Cafe and Sweet Shoppe. Message us for details. We want to make this day special for you so if you need anything else please ask and we will be happy to help.
Basic Wedding Package – $750
Includes full use of the house, barn, and grounds from 5pm Friday until 11am Sunday. Allows ample time for set up, rehearsal, and cleanup. Having use of the house for the weekend allows the bridal party to stay overnight in our three bedroom house. This also gives you access to our kitchen during the event for use by catering. Times and days can be moved just ask! Extra time will add an extra cost.

Must provide event insurance to cover the date of the event.
Add-ons
Cabin rentals – $75 for each for the event. Add on our one room cabin on the beach or cabin in the field, or both. Located on the property, but on the river road, the mermaid cabin is close, but still separated from the venue. Our field cabin is located on the farthest edge of our hay field and cannot be seen from the venue. Can be used for the bridal party or space for family to stay.
Rental arrangements – $75 plus rental fees. Let us take care of the chair, table, and tent rentals for you. We can show you the selection at Kempkers, and you just pick out what you want. We will make all the necessary arrangements to have everything at the farm and ready by the time you arrive on Friday evening.
Cleaning fee – $200 Don’t want to take the time to clean up yourself? We can do that for you. Anything left behind will be disposed of by us.
Non-refundable deposit of 50% must be made and signed contract submitted to hold your date. Balance must be paid at least 7 days prior to the start of the event.
