Cambre Barn
The barn on the farm is a smaller barn, but it worked well for the Cambre family. It was built around 1900 and was used for their horses. The Cambre’s focused more on raising crops rather than animals so they didn’t have a need for a large livestock barn. They built a large chicken coop closer to the house that housed over a hundred chickens and an apple shed to store their apples. Later they built a small garage to store their car.

Repairs
When my grandparents, Relly and Lois Fowler, purchased the property the barn was in a state of disrepair. They replaced several support beams and fixed some siding. For them the barn was more a picturesque structure than a useful one.

The Barn Today
After I purchased the property, the barn again needed some work. More siding was replaced and a floor was replaced in the center area of the barn. I also added some doors to add light and a wall to seperate a storage area. Today the barn is used for small events and the beginning of the ghost tours start with stories in the barn.
